How to Apply for ETA
Starting from April 2, 2025, all travelers from outside the United Kingdom must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before departure.
The application process opens on March 5, 2025.
How to Apply:
1. Access the Application Platform:
You can apply for an ETA via the official UK government website or by using the "UK ETA" app, available in the App Store and Google Play.
2. Prepare the Required Information:
Your valid physical passport (not a passport copy or digital passport).
A clear image of yourself.
A valid email address.
A payment method (credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay) to pay the application fee.
3. Complete the Application:
Upload a picture of your passport and a recent facial photo.
Enter personal details, including your name, date of birth, passport information, home address, and contact information.
Answer security and eligibility questions, such as any previous criminal records or immigration violations.
4. Pay the Application Fee:
The ETA application costs £10 per person, which is approximately 90 DKK.
Payment can be made with credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
5. Submit the Application:
After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Most applications are processed within three working days, but it is recommended to apply well in advance of departure to account for any delays.
Important Information
Validity: An approved ETA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. It allows multiple visits to the UK with stays of up to six months per visit.
Transit: Even if you are only transiting through the UK, a valid ETA is required.
Responsibility: It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid ETA before departure. Lack of ETA can result in denial of boarding or entry to the UK.
Football Travel is not responsible for issues with ETA applications.
Exemptions from ETA: Travelers with work permits, visas, or UK citizenship are exempt from applying for an ETA.
