A little bit about PSG

Lionel Messi converted the penalty and made it 3-0. Barcelona was only missing 1 goal to have made the impossible possible and forced the game into extra time. However, things did not go badly for PSG. At the 62nd minute, Cavani scored a very important away goal for PSG, making Barcelona now have to score 3 goals in half an hour to advance. The impossible task thus became harder for Barcelona, and the longer the game went on, the more impossible the chance looked for Barcelona to score 3 goals.

However, the next FC Barcelona goal would come at the 88th minute when Suarez was controversially awarded a penalty. Neymar took the penalty, scored, and made it 4-1. At the 91st minute, Barcelona was awarded a free-kick just outside the penalty area from a difficult angle. Neymar took responsibility for the free-kick and scored one of the most beautiful free-kicks in Champions League history. Barcelona now had 4 minutes to find 1 more goal. In the dying minutes, Barcelona had to find their luck. At the 95th minute, Neymar dribbled into the field and sent a hot cross into the box. It looked like the cross had missed all the players. But luckily for Barcelona, Barcelona’s right-back, Sergi Roberto, was at the end of the cross and scored Barcelona’s 6th goal. Barcelona advanced, and PSG let a 4-0 lead slip away.

Manchester Untied 3 – 2 PSG

This was another game that looked impossible for PSG to lose. The first match was played at Old Trafford, and PSG won 2-0 with goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe. Manchester United‘s star player, Paul Pogba, received a red card in the 89th minute, which meant he couldn’t play in the return leg at Parc des Princes. No team had ever come back from a home defeat by two goals or more in the Champions League. However, PSG managed to create problems for themselves again.

In the return leg, Manchester United fielded a very young team, with many of the first-team players absent. Nonetheless, Manchester United quickly took the lead. A mistake by PSG goalkeeper Buffon in the second minute allowed Romelu Lukaku to score Manchester United’s first goal. But PSG came back and scored their goal through Bernat in the 12th minute. Once again, PSG’s defense made a mistake, and Lukaku made it 2-1. Manchester United had over an hour to score the third and decisive goal to progress.
