Welcome to Manchester

National Football Museum
Whether you are 10 or 50 years old, the National Football Museum in Manchester is a hit. Here, various exhibitions zoom in on specific eras in British stories, but there are also elements, such as old commentary footage from legendary battles from the past.
The entrance is free, and then you can choose to donate when you go out. It is located on Todds Street in the centre of town.

Shopping in Manchester
Manchester is a major shopping mecca. Inside the city centre, many shops are concentrated around their shopping street - Market Street.
Here abound all the English chain stores and if that is not enough, then the shopping centre Arndale, with over 210 stores, is also on the same street.

5 minutes walk from Market Street you will find King Street with a lot of designer shops.
King Street also offers fine cafés and some of the city's best restaurants.

Old Trafford is by far the Premier League's largest stadium and one of the world's most iconic stadiums.
It was built in 1910 and has been Manchester United's home ever since, except for a period of 8 years when World War II bombings damaged it.
Around the stadium, there are plenty of memorials to the club's famous past, with statues of Sir Matt Busby, Sir Alex Ferguson and The Holy Trinity (George Best, Denis Law & Sir Bobby Charlton).

How to get to Old Trafford

The fastest way to get to  Old Trafford is to take a tram from Piccadilly Station or Manchester Oxford Road. It stops 5 minutes walk from the stadium.
You can also take a bus from one of the two important stations. The following buses run from the centre of Manchester and to the stadium: 79, 255, 256, 263, 250 and X50.
