Liverpool may not play their best football this season – but they certainly need YOUR support! In this match, Liverpool will go up against their local rivals, Everton FC, destined to be an exciting affair. Players like Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold will likely make a big impact and try their best to help The Reds get a much-needed victory. This also applies to the record summer signing, Darwin Núnez, who is yet to live up to the huge expectations.
On the other side, Everton FC will be heading to the game with a very experienced manager, Sean Dyche. Everton FC had a tough start to the season after suffering many defeats in a row. Having a lot of success as Burnley manager, Dyche managed to save Everton from being relegation - and will be looking to lead Everton FC to long-awaited success. Anfield Stadium was built in 1884 and belonged to Everton Football Club for the first 8 years, but has been Liverpool's home since the club was founded at The Sandon in 1892. The first renovation of Anfield took place in 1928, which made room for 30,000 standing spectators, and The Kop quickly became known for its high volume. Anfield Stadium was most recently renovated for the start of the 16/17 season, when the Main Stand became the largest single-tier stand in England with seating for approximately 20,500 spectators. Anfield Stadium can now accommodate 54,074 spectators.
The stadium is located approximately 4 km north of Liverpool city center, and it takes less than an hour to walk from the city to Anfield Stadium. You can also find countless pubs around Anfield. The three we would recommend are:
The Sandon is located 300 meters from Anfield. The Sandon is Liverpool's official pub. The pub is our favorite and is one of the most popular pubs among Liverpool fans.
King Charles is less than 2 minutes' walk from Anfield. There is often a good atmosphere here with dart tournaments, live music, quiz nights, and live sports.
The Albert is located right next to Anfield. When Liverpool play, the atmosphere is always high and there are good singing going on.
