It's Sunday 11 May 2003. Chelsea share 4th place with Liverpool with 64 points. A Russian oligarch by the name Roman Abramovich is in place at Stamford Bridge and has almost decided he wants to buy Chelsea. However, there is the fact that if he is to buy the club, then Chelsea must end up in the top 4 which ensures them Champions League participation the following season. Sami Hyypiä puts Liverpool ahead after 11 minutes, but Marcel Desailly brings balance in the accounts 2 minutes later on an assist by Jesper Grønkjær. 14 minutes later, Jesper Grønkjær is back in place, as he scores a great goal to 2-1. The match ends 2-1, Chelsea enters the Champions League and Roman Abramovich decides to buy the club. Gørnkjær's goal is known as "The 1 Billion Pound Goal". Chelsea ends up in the semi-finals of the Champions League season after which they smoke out to Monaco. Monaco loses in the final to Porto with José Mourinho in the lead. Mourinho subsequently takes to Chelsea and wins the Premier League supremely in his first season.
