Stadion Maksimir was built in 1912 and was then just a pitch and a simple stand.
For the first few decades of its life, it was home to HAŠK Građanski but was quickly expanded and became the city of Zagreb's primary stadium.
In 1948, Dinamo Zagreb moved in, and it has been their home ever since.
