Celtic Park
Celtic Park has been Celtic's home since 1892 when the club moved from its old home ground (also called Celtic Park) due to disagreement over the rent.
The new Celtic Park officially opened on August 13, 1892, on Celtic's annual sports day. The first match was played a week later, with Celtic beating Renton 4-3.
Celtic Park was originally oval with a bike path, pavilion and a wooden grandstand. In 1898, a new large grandstand on two levels was built opposite and was the first of its kind in a football stadium.
