A little about Bayern München
Bayern Munich, also known as FC Bayern, is one of the most successful and well-known football clubs in the world. Based in the city of München, Germany, the club was founded in 1900 and has since become one of the most decorated clubs in European football.
The early years of the club were marked by ups and downs, with Bayern experiencing both success and relegation in their early history. However, the 1960s saw the club begin to establish themselves as a force in German football, and in 1965 they won their first Bundesliga title.
Bayern continued to grow in the following years and became a dominant force in German and European football in the 1970s, winning three consecutive European Cups between 1974 and 1976. The club has continued to enjoy success since then, winning numerous domestic and European titles.
In recent years, Bayern Munich has been one of the most dominant teams in world football, winning the Bundesliga title in each of the last nine seasons. They have also enjoyed success in Europe, winning the UEFA Champions League four times in the last decade.
The club is known for its emphasis on youth development and for its attacking style of play. Bayern has a long history of producing world-class players, including legends like Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, and Philipp Lahm.

Bayern München Matches
Bayern Munich is the most dominant and largest club in Germany. All Bayern matches are super entertaining and full of goals. However, it has become a bit boring to watch the Bundesliga, as Bayern Munich has won the Bundesliga title for the last 10 years in a row. In the Champions League, Bayern Munich is still one of the giants, but here they face much more competition than in the Bundesliga. In the last 12 years, Bayern Munich has reached the Champions League final three times, winning the tournament twice.
Chelsea vs Bayern Munich 2012
The Chelsea vs Bayern Munich match was played at the Allianz Arena in 2012. As Bayern Munich was both a bigger team than Chelsea and playing at home, Bayern Munich were the favorites to win the final. The Chelsea vs Bayern match was super entertaining and had numerous chances. However, the first goal didn’t come until the 84th minute, when Thomas Müller headed the ball past Petr Cech and into the goal. Bayern Munich players and fans began to cheer and believed that the Champions League title was on its way back to Munich. But Chelsea had not lost hope and especially not Didier Drogba. In the 88th minute, Juan Mata took the corner and kicked it in. Didier Drogba was highest up and headed the ball into the goal, making the match 1-1 and sending it to extra time.
In extra time, there was even more drama. Didier Drogba tackled a Bayern München player inside the penalty area, and Bayern München was awarded a penalty. The penalty was to be taken by former Chelsea player Arjen Robben. Arjen Robben took the penalty, which ended up being saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech. The Chelsea vs Bayern match ended 1-1, and thus it went on to a penalty shootout. The penalty shootout started out well for Bayern Munich as they scored their first 3 goals, and Chelsea’s Juan Mata missed his shot. Bayern Munich was ahead 3-2, but from there it all went wrong. Olic and Bastian Schweinsteiger both missed their penalty shots, and Chelsea scored their penalty shots. Thus, Chelsea’s Didier Drogba could decide the penalty shootout for Chelsea. By scoring, Drogba could become a part of Chelsea’s history as the man who led them to their first Champions League title. Drogba took the shot and scored, securing Chelsea’s first Champions League title. Bayern Munich had lost their 2nd Champions League final in 3 years, but they would get lucky the next year.
Dortmund vs Bayern Munich 2013
The Champions League final in 2013 was to be payed against rivals Borussia Dortmund. In this Der Klassiker match, the decision came again in the dying minutes. Bayern – Dortmund was almost a repetition of last season’s Champions League final, where the first half had no goals but plenty of chances. In the second half, the first goal would finally come when Mario Mandzukic scored the first goal of the match in the 60th minute, putting Bayern Munich ahead 1-0. However, Dortmund would quickly respond as they were awarded a penalty. Ilkay Gündogan scored the penalty and made it 1-1. The decisive goal would come in the 89th minute, and guess who scored it? None other than the villain from last year’s Champions League final, Arjen Robben. Arjen Robben received a pass from Ribery and with a weak but precise shot, the ball went into the goal. With that goal, Arjen Robben went from villain to hero and led Bayern Munich to their first Champions League title since 2001.
PSG vs Bayern Munich 2020
The last time Bayern Munich reached the Champions League final was in 2020, when they faced PSG. Two of Europe’s most dangerous attacks were set to meet. PSG had Neymar and Mbappe, while Bayern Munich had their goal-scoring machine Lewandowski. The PSG vs Bayern game, however, did not go as expected. There were plenty of chances for both teams, but goals were hard to come by. It wasn’t until the 59th minute when former PSG academy player Kingsley Coman scored the game’s first and only goal for Bayern Munich. PSG went on the attack to find the equalizer, but it was to no avail. Bayern Munich won the game 1-0 and were crowned European champions once again.
