On matchdays

We recommend you go to Anfield early to experience the atmosphere.
Around Anfield, there is a great atmosphere, lots of Liverpool fans (obviously) and great pubs.
We recommend The Sandon PubThe Soccer Suite and The Park Pub

At the stadium

Entering Anfield is easy. All you need to do is scanning your e-ticket and you are through.
There are several food stands at the stadium where you can buy food and drinks. In every stadium in England, you are not allowed to bring beer into your seat. Beer and other alcoholic drinks need to be consumed near the food/drinks stands.

The closer kick off gets the better the atmosphere, which culminates in the legendary "You'll Never Walk Alone" - goosebumps are guaranteed!

Sightseeing tips

Six areas in the historic centre and docklands of the maritime mercantile City of Liverpool bear witness to the development of one of the world’s major trading centres in the 18th and 19th centuries. Liverpool played an important role in the growth of the British Empire and became the major port for the mass movement of people, e.g. slaves and emigrants from northern Europe to America. Liverpool was a pioneer in the development of modern dock technology, transport systems, and port management. This has placed Liverpool on UNESCO's World Heritage List

Albert Dock
The renovated dock area is a gem in Liverpool. Here you find small. cozy shops, restaurant, clubs, cafés, and historical monuments.

Yellow Duck Tour

If you are looking for an original tour through Liverpool, Yellow Duck Tour is a great option. At these intimate tours, a genuine scouser guides you and tell entertaining stories about their city. You can book tickets at Albert Dock or online.

The Beatles Museum
The Beatles is one of the most influential bands in history, so why not visit The Beatles Museum? The museum is filled with photos, movie- and sound clips from their marvelous career. You can also read about the tragic death of John Lennon, and what the remaining band members are up to today.
The museum is open 7 days a week, and tickets can be purchased at the entrance.

Matthew Street
Matthew Street is Liverpool's party street number 1. Here is a lot of pubs, cafés, restaurants, and clubs.

Pubs near Anfield

The Sandon
Oakfield Road

Liverpool's official matchday pub. This is the place where both Liverpool and Everton were founded.
The Sandon is around 300 meters from Anfield.

The Albert
Anfield Road

The Albert is just next to the legendary The Kop. The walls are filled with Liverpool memorabilia and you can be certain there will be filled on matchdays.

The Park
Anfield Road

The Park is located just opposite the Albert and is exactly as crowded and full of great atmosphere.

We work closely with several hotels in Liverpool. If you would like a specific hotel, just let us know!

Transport from the airport

John Lennon Airport, Liverpool
The bus is the easiest possibility if you arrive by plane to John Lennon Airport. The bus departs from right outside the terminal building and costs around 4-6 pound, depending on the bus company. The tickets can be booked in the arrival terminal or on the bus. The buses stop at Liverpool Lime Street Station or Liverpool ONE. You can also go on a train, the station, however, is a good walk away from the airport to the bus is usually preferred. Another option is, of course, a taxi, which usually costs around 15-25 pounds to the city center.

Manchester Airport
If you arrive at Manchester Airport, then the train is the easiest option. The train departs directly from the airport terminal station. There's a train from the airport and Liverpool every half hour and it will cost you 14.5 pounds for a return ticket. The trip is between 50 and 70 minutes. You can also take the first available train to Manchester Picadilly and find alternative routes from there - the price will remain about the same.

A taxi will be around 45-70 pound, depending on traffic and driver: it is often an advantage to agree on a fixed price with the driver before starting the trip.

Transport to Anfield Road and Goodison Park in Liverpool

The easiest option is a taxi. It is 4-7 pounds and between 5-10 minutes depending on the traffic. We always recommend our customers to go to the stadium well before the kick off time for the atmosphere and the people on a match day. The atmosphere is electric! Another option is the bus from Liverpool ONE: Line 18 goes directly to the stadium and it's £1.80 for a ticket and there are always extra buses on match days.
All the above directions are equally good for Anfield Road or Goodison Park, as the stadiums are very close to each other, only separated by Stanley Park.
